Junior Guide' School

The Nova Scotia Guide's Association is host to a five-day Junior Guide' School each year in July to train youth (ages 12-17) in:

  • Conservation and ecology
  • Fishing and hunting basics
  • GPS, map and compass
  • Wilderness survival and first aid
  • Canoeing and water safety
  • Tenting and outdoor cooking
  • Woodlore and woodsmen sports

Join us for the “Junior/Intermediate Guides Competition 2011” July 15th & 16Th with registration from 6 - 7pm Friday July 15th. A weekend of friendly competition using some of the skills taught during the Guides School Week.


The Junior Guide' School is a popular program and space is limited. Registration is $126.50 HST included. Completed application forms should be received by the Association no later than May each year.
